Why are republican congressmen so afraid of Rush?

Republican congressmen act like Rush can make or break their careers. Did you see Phil Gingrey grovel before Rush, begging for forgiveness? What a wuss! Don't these geniuses realize that your typical ditto head doesn't vote, but just loves to sit in their trailer, listening to Rush and complaining about how small their SSI check is?
