Should i invite her or not?

me and my bff are having our birthday party together. we Absolutely love basketball and are pretty good at it. we are good friends with everyone on the team except for one girl. the bball players are pretty popular. this girl doesn't sit with the ball players she sit with the nerds. she is a nerd herself. she is terrible at basketball and very rude to everyone. i am inviting the whole team but me and my friend dont want to invite her cause she is lame. but i don't want her to be the only one not invited. my mom said invite her , but i don't want to. if she comes she will be mad and pout the whole time because she doesn't even like the basketball player especially me because im new this year and better than her. what should i do!!
